Die Before You Die

there is not but a figure that has not yielded death

not a creature that hasn’t felt their skin peel

their eyes shed

this silky glass slipper broken

for haven’t you touched the mirror before, unable to place the face?

the wild ones, their claws break and fall

death is breaking

breaking goblets, breaking vases

breaking needles that need to sew up cuts and wounds

let thy blood fly free!

for as we lay dying on our noble bed of defeat

it is not but someone else who has stuck the blade in our chest

but our own hands

Annunciation of Persephone

Annunciation of Persephone

she puts on heels and hats

he pulls on coats and caps

the daughter grew to the water

while the missioner’s bread was

weakened by the poor innocence

of a girl with the baby-blue buttons

all chaos is brought to the table of the churchyard

and the tears all appear when everyone

finds out that persephone is here

she brought with her a song

and the people, they hide

from all the sins

that burn them inside

the first love

I became aware

that glass beads were within my body

I’m pretty sure I found myself through him

for I didn’t know how completely opposed I was

to normalcy

he talked in sentences unfinished,

I spoke in volumes

he could relate to me like

a duck could relate to a dragonfly

the second love

was so sure I was a butterfly

that he pinned me in his book

and tried to keep me held inside.

today when I speak

to handsome grins and eyes,

and speak of ordinary procedures in life

my tongue betrays

insects fly from my mouth

and whizz around their heads

each love I meet I become aware that

beads are in my body

the kind they make pieces in mosaics.

Now I know I’m looking for masonry.

before rome was built

there was a law

before breath took hold of humans

there was a truth

before the trees grew towards the heavens

and before they were seeds

before lizards and insects roamed the shore

before I was I, and you were you (of course)

they said that at the earth’s birthing, right when

the big bang hit

cosmic bruises were found on the sides of the earth

as if it collided with another—

before the earth hit creation

there was a sacred element

defined by the universe

and all it’s beauty

if you listen deeply

you can hear it

or when your up in space

in it’s whispers of devotion…

you may call it a drum

or you could call it bells

it’s all the bold hearts bleeding equal

It is all hearts beating one

shouldn’t you open,

but wouldn’t you break?IMG_5944

wouldn’t you pour the fountain of blessings,

upon my tired faceIMG_5947

no more the mourn,

for I’ll fix you a drink

of passion

and wisdom

and all that’s in-between

seek not careful magic

it’s in my hands,

and deep within yours…

transmute the lessons

and glide through

to the end of all the battle,

through this wretched war.

Today A Silent Rose Turned Upward

Hello Lovlies!! It’s been amazing how long it’s been since I’ve written on here, I’ve been having so many adventures in writing, I just finished a new short story called The Dissaperence of Celestine Frost which I am sending a-ways to various journals in hopes of publishing it, I’ve been connecting with new and amazing people, I am honored and humbled to be in a group of amazing women right now where we meet once a week to meditate, write, and do yoga and talk about our intentions for the new year, I am also doing a lot of learning and research, As you might have seen on my Instagram, I posted a photo of me reading this I N C R E D I B L E  study book called The Myth of the Goddess, which is my new bible, definitely.

I also got the chance to paint a friend a watercolor portrait which I gave to her for a christmas present, If you can’t see very well because the picture is sort of dark, I painted her with a butterfly in the center of her heart because many women tell her she’s like a butterfly, because she just is, and just I call her The Butterfly. Super blessed to know her and to be getting to know so many strong and beautiful souls like herself.

During a meeting I had with my friends we discussed this year, I mentioned how this year was the hardest and the best by far. This is the year of Completion, which hopefully means this new, bright, beautiful year 2 0 1 6, is going to be a cleansing and easier year!!

Oh, and if you haven’t seen my last post, I finally got an Etsy shop!! You can check it out here, many of my paintings are up for buying prints for only $19.00!

I’ll end with a little bit I wrote last night as a fun little poem entitled:

‘Today a silent rose turned upward’

Today a silent rose turned upward and spoke a dew-dripped word-

of the breeze

tis’ in belief

beneath all living joys

hurks a wonder

tis’ a blunder

we all speak in rare strange noise

and then the lily, providing a sigh as she shook from her turned stem, broke in tune with a stray-lit smile, singing,

shan’t the seas

bequeath the trees

to a fair lement of truth,

will it be everlasting,

to this strange masking

we have fought with since our stead youth

popping by, a dragonfly beamed and bowed a head and I decree, I did dream how within all days stood so unreal, for it is real, all is real and in the mind we revive the circuits to the heart, to unbury the lost treasure of wisdom and truth, oh truth is real enough for us to fantasize about, isn’t it?

Love to all of you!!
