Relics of Shangri-La

They say that Ojai is a magical place, that’s why they call it Shangri-La, referring to the movie Lost Horizon that was filmed there in the 30’s. The author of the book describes it as a ‘mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery , enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains.’

It’s still one of my favorite places to go, having lived there for over two years moving there in 2008 , and leaving in 2010, I love to go back ere and meander around just for the beauty in the landscape and gentle atmosphere. We lived on a ranch, oranges and avocados to be exact, and there we lived amongst not only 100 acres of trees, but many various animals, coyotes, peacocks, deer, quail, snakes, and roadrunners. Me being a kid, along with my younger brother and older sister, this was magic for us, we had incredible adventures, and here are a few snapshots of them.
